We were made aware of confirmed ICE activity in the Northeast San Fernando Valley, including in North Hills, Panorama City, and Sylmar. During times like these, fear and uncertainty can spread quickly--but knowledge is power.

Dear Northeast Valley neighbors,

As the year comes to an end, I want to reflect on what we have accomplished together as a community. This past year was guided by your voices, needs, and advocacy. Together we worked to advance state policies that support and uplift our district. With the support of you and our partners, six new laws were passed and signed by the Governor. This progress is made possible through our collective efforts and commitment to one another.

As we enter the holiday season, I want to take a moment to share my deep appreciation for you and our entire community. Assembly District 43 truly reflects strength, resilience, and a powerful sense of pride. I am grateful not only to be part of this district, but to have the honor of representing a community filled with heart, determination, and fight.

Did you know that according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), nearly half of all car seats are installed or used incorrectly?  Some studies even find error rates as high as 70–90%, depending on the type of seat and the child’s age.

On behalf of Assemblywoman Celeste Rodriguez, and in partnership with the Child Care Resource Center (CCRC) and the California Highway Patrol (CHP), you are invited to our Car Seat Safety Event, a free, hands-on opportunity to learn how to properly install and use your child’s car seat.

After a busy and rewarding month back home in the District, I’m now back in Sacramento, ready to continue fighting for the resources, policies, and support our community deserves. I want to take a moment to share the latest updates from our work both at home and at the Capitol. Over the summer recess, I had the opportunity to connect directly with many of you by hosting events, meeting with local leaders and small businesses, and continuing to advocate for the needs of our community.
